Laura Schrier Coe sees beauty everywhere she looks. As a photographer, she has captured it for decades. Now, using a skill unleashed through her computer, she is taking images, hers or yours, and turning them into works of art.
Laura was born in Long Island, New York in 1951, but has lived in Miami since 1952. That's close enough to being a native for most people.
Married 29 mostly good years, she has lived in the same home since 1978 and with her husband, raised a son there who is now an adult.
Laura always wanted to paint and draw, but when everything turned out looking like stick figures, she turned to photography, and for 35 years she captured the striking images which are why people endure the hurricanes and the heat to live in South Florida.
She found a way to combine her love for animals with a need to pay the bills, and for 25 years has operated a dog grooming business. On a whim, she started to use her computer to manipulate pictures of her clients' dogs to use as holiday gifts, and in the process unlocked an undiscovered passion.

Seeking to grow her talent, she was inspired by artist Fay Sirkis (a goddess and mentor) during a digital photography class, and decided to turn a digital hobby into a dream, and become the artist she had always wanted to be, using a monitor and keyboard for her canvas.
Now, you can share the results of her vision, of her Reality, Enhanced. |
